Akhil has chosen teaching profession as his career after garnering experience in varied field of art and design. He believes that a teacher takes major role in building the future generation of India.

He did BFA in Applied Art from College of Fine Arts Thiruvananthapuram and MFA in Applied Art from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art Mumbai. From his school days onwards he had won back to back awards at district and state level competitions in different artistic field and got several state and national awards including first north east festival winner award. He rewarded as the ‘Kalaprathibha’ in 2005 in Kerala youth festival. During his college period he worked for animation projects produced by Vismayas Max as creative background designer, Kids program Anchor in Amrita TV for Art and Craft show etc. He got selected as Best Outstanding Student of the Year 2010 by Mathrubhumi during his college days.

After Under Graduation, he worked as kids TV program anchor in increation media production house which got 3 state awards for best kids program. he worked with Victers education channel- govt. of Kerala and Asianet News as kids program Anchor which was to boost up art sense in children. He also worked in south Indian film industry as Assistant director. During his Master degree completion from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Art Mumbai, he got selected as best student of the college in illustration and his work got selected for Maharashtra state art festival. In 2015, he joined in Archaeological Survey of India- Jodhpur Circle as Photographer Gr-II  and prepared a fully developed digital library of ASI jodhpur circle monuments. During his ASI service period, He made a replica of a burial dated 2500BC in white M- Seal and now it is showcased in Kalibangan Musium, Rajasthan. In 2016, He joined in NIT Rourkela as Technical Assistant (Fine Arts) and took initiate to start and execute one digital photography lab and sketching and rendering lab in Industrial Design department. In his NITR life, He also worked for department of Planning and Architecture.

Area of interest: Advertising and strategy planning, Advertising psychology, Branding, Graphic Design, Illustration, Photography and videography, Movie making, Art and aesthetics, Ancient Indian art history.
