Textile & Apparel Design
Shalini Goel Post-graduate Diploma in Leather Apparel Design & Technology from NIFT,and then She went on to pursue her passion for Art and completed her second post graduate degree in Painting from BHU.
Before moving to Education, she worked with Textile & Leather Goods & Accessories Industries and Design Houses like A.P. Fashions, Crew B.O.S, Alpine Apparels and others as a Fashion Designer, Product Developer and Senior Designer. Where she created Design Collections for Luxury Fashion Goods and worked with different international brands like Etro, Accessories, Radley, Kenneth Cole, Wilsons, Old Navy, Debenhams, Fossil & Max.
Education industry later pulled her and she worked as an Associate Professor with NIFT Raebareli, Associate Professor with G.D. Goenka University Gurgaon, Senior Designer with Footwear Design & Development Institute Noida, Senior Faculty with Srishti Institute of Art Design & Technology Bengaluru, Associate Professor with ADYPU (DYPDC) Pune and before joining NID Haryana she worked with NID Assam as Senior Faculty and has a total work experience of over 19 years.
She has been felicitated with an award for the Best Design Collection for Most Innovative Leather Goods Products at NIFT. Her artwork has been exhibited at Lalit Kala Academy, Kolkata & Theosophical Society in Varanasi.
Shalini has also done various design projects with RSIC, NLDP, HRD Mission projects. She has conducted Workshops with Saras Fair, Delhi Trade Fairs and handled Design Collection Projects with several Fairs in IIGF, Kolkata, IILF, Chennai, APLF, Hong Kong, Riva-del-Garda, Italy, Mapel Fairs as a product developer and senior fashion designer with the Textile and Leather goods and accessories Industries.
Her hands-on engagements in the classroom & studio spaces include themes like: Geometry & Nature, Forms Follow Function, Bending the Rule, Deployable Structures, Draw & Make, Paper Art, Counter Culture - Colour & Textures, Forms in Nature, Craft Exposure & Creative Arts, Elementary Sketching etc.
