Communication design occupies a variety of disciplines, including strategic design and methods for conveying clear messages. It sets the framework for cognition and helps with problem-solving, rational thought, and understanding what one should do. NID Haryana offers this discipline in a way that enables students to comprehend and explore the sub-fields of communication design related to new media.
Communication Design courses are structured in such a way that students have the freedom to
choose their projects keeping in mind all the sub-domains ranging from Animation, Film, Graphic
Design, and User Experience Design (including Interface Design and Interaction Design), etc.
Students are exposed to emerging global trends, the cultural and historical context in which the
designers need to function as well as the social and ethical factors that influence design decisions.
‘The ability to practice within a local and global context’ is a guiding principle of this program across the pathways.
