Textile & Apparel Design

Dharmendra is a Fashion and Textile Designer with 6 years of industrial working experience. He has worked in diverse setups of the fashion and apparel sector- from export houses, designer houses, to crafts and handloom sectors; and has covered the different aspects of the garment industry.

He has done his Master’s in Textile Design from NID- Ahmedabad and Bachelor’s in Fashion Design from NIFT- Patna. He started his career with eminent fashion designer Mr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, working with him for 3 years. He managed various fashion shows and exhibitions, such as - Lakme Fashion Week, India Couture Week, etc. under him. He went on to work with various other design houses and garment companies- Taneira (Titan Company Ltd.), Weavers Studio, Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd., Studio AV by Gaurav and Nitesh, to name a few.

He has also worked extensively in the crafts and handloom sector, covering the Bhagalpur Silk cluster, Phulia Cotton handloom cluster, Benarasi Silk handloom cluster, Bandhani and Ajrakh Print clusters from Kutch.

He was awarded the Gold Medal for best performance in his batch at NIFT-Patna. He was also the National Finalist in ‘Wills Lifestyle’s The Debut Contest- 2012’ and ‘Triumph Inspiration Awards- 2012’. He also represented the Bhagalpur Silk in Bihar Pavilion during the India International Trade Fair (IITF), New Delhi in 2011.
