Who are authorized to use the library?

All NIDH students, faculty members, and staff are authorized to access the library.​

How can a user recommend a book?

An authorized user can recommend a book for purchase by filling-in the “Book recommendation form” that can be obtained from the Circulation Counter.

Which documents are to be issued?

Only Textbooks can be issued. Journals/Periodicals and reference books are not issuable.​​

How can a reference book be distinguished from other books? Can a reference book be issued?​

Reference books have been marked by RR on Top of the Call Number. Reference books within value of Rs.5000/- may only be issued to faculty members for overnight only on request.​

​I have lost a book. What am I supposed to do?​

Please consult the circulation counter immediately to confirm the book details and submit an application to the Head Librarian for guidance on the replacement procedure.​

Can I bring my own/personal/already issued book to library?

No, you are not allowed to bring any personal book or books already issued from the library unless you wish to return.
