Industrial Design

Neetika Devgan is a design educator with nearly two decades of experience spanning design
education, retail, spatial experiences and product development.

She studied Industrial Design at the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, after completing
her graduation in Architecture from Punjab Technical University, Bathinda. Her interest in
information design led her to pursue further learning at IDC, IIT Bombay, and the University of
Bath, UK.

Before entering academia, Neetika gained extensive industry experience across the retail and
experience-design sectors. As Creative Head at Figments, an experience design studio, she led
multidisciplinary teams in conceptualising, designing, and building award-winning spatial
experiences for brands including Lakmé, Apollo Pharmacy, P&G, Airtel, and Kaya and many
other projects. Earlier, her work with Fabindia and Future Group focused on the design and
sourcing of furniture, lighting, home décor, and other lifestyle products.

Her diverse industry experience with Fabindia, Future Group, and Figments offered her a
comprehensive understanding of the retail ecosystem—from discovering and developing
products to designing, building, and delivering human-centric experiences. This exposure also
shaped her approach to design as a holistic discipline that connects people through experiences
created through spaces, products and information.

Prior to joining National Institute of Design Haryana, Neetika was a founding member and
Senior Faculty at the National Institute of Design, Madhya Pradesh. As part of the institute's
formative team, she contributed to building and shaping the new institute and its academic
ecosystem. She served in many leadership capacities, including Founding Discipline Lead
Foundation Studies,Activity Chair Education, and Officiating Director where she was involved in
conceptualising, planning, and implementing key initiatives for the institute's growth and
development.

Her areas of interest include holistic experience design, spatial design, colour and visual
perception, and exploring the beauty of nature.
