Mr. Sandeep Singh Bhatia is an accomplished academic administrator and education professional with over 25 years of experience in higher education institutions under government and private sectors. He is presently serving as Registrar & Chief Administrative Officer (I/C) at National Institute of Design Haryana.

Prior to joining NID Haryana, he served for nearly two decades at Footwear Design & Development Institute as Deputy General Manager (Student Affairs & Examinations), where he played a significant role in academic administration, statutory compliance, student affairs, examinations, institutional governance, policy implementation, and establishment of new
campuses and academic programmes. He was also a key contributor in the drafting and introduction of the FDDI Act, 2017 in Parliament.

Mr. Bhatia possesses extensive expertise in institutional governance, regulatory compliance, admissions, examinations, procurement, human resource administration, student services, legal and RTI matters, accreditation processes, government liaison, and implementation of academic policies in Institutions of National Importance. He has worked with several reputed
educational institutions including Asia Pacific Institute of Management, IILM Institute for Higher Education, Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology, and Apeejay Institute of Management & Information Technology.

Academically, he holds an MBA in Marketing, and MA in Public Administration, He has contributed to research, publications, policy discussions, and international academic and industry events related to skill development, design , retail and management education.​
