Swati is a Textile Designer with Industrial and academic experience. Her industrial experiences are in the areas of Soft floorings (Handloom and Hand tufted carpets), Home décor (Soft Furnishing), screen printing (Fashion Accessories), Block printing (Ethnic womens wear), and Handmade paper making. Along with these, she went on to work on Automotive textiles with CMFT (Color, Material and Finishing techniques. She has worked extensively with crafts of Leheriya and Mothra.

She has also worked with MSME (Design Clinic, NID). Her work for the Green Innovations, Bamboo Initiatives at National Institute of Design, got published in Ahmedabad Mirror and Creative Yatra (digital).

Her academic experiences are in the areas of color and composition, weaving, Introduction to knitting, Design Projects like Fabric Constructions and Design for Space. She has also gained experience in teaching design process, material properties and processes, material combination, elements of composition and sense perception and environment

 She did her B.Des in Textile Design from NIFT, Chennai and M.Des in Textile Design from NID, Ahmedabad.

 She received a Design Patent from the patent office, IPR, Govt. of India, for one of her works done at NID Ahmedabad
