M.Des. Programmes
NID Haryana continues to provide a strong foundation in design education
and practice. This 2.5 year programme is oered in the following areas of
specialization:
- Digital Design Futures
- Creative Leadership
M.Des. Digital Design Futures:
The M.Des. in Digital Design Futures explores how design can shape
emerging technologies, experiences and ways of living. As AI, immersive
media, computational design, data and connected systems transform the
design landscape, the programme prepares designers to anticipate
change, question conventions and shape meaningful futures.
Working across design, technology, science, business, social sciences,
humanities and digital humanities, students explore emerging
technologies as both tools and materials for design. Through research,
experimentation and prototyping, they investigate new forms of
interaction, products, services and experiences across digital, physical and
hybrid contexts.
It includes AI and generative design, immersive realities, computational
creativity, speculative design, intelligent systems, data-driven experiences,
digital cultures and human–machine interaction—preparing designers to
imagine, prototype and shape what comes next.
M.Des. Creative Leadership
The programme responds to the evolving role of designers in organisations, where design is increasingly contributing to strategy, innovation and organisational transformation. It aims to develop design professionals who can integrate design practice with leadership, strategy, management, innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The programme will enable students to understand organisational systems, lead multidisciplinary teams, develop strategic interventions and apply creative approaches to complex organisational and societal challenges. It will also engage with emerging leadership roles such as the Chief Design Officer, preparing graduates to contribute at senior levels across design, business, innovation, entrepreneurship and organisational transformation.
