Our 5.5 years integrated Masters programme provides students with a
strong foundation in design practice, processes and ways of thinking. The
Integrated M.Des extends this journey, enabling students to progress from
foundational design education towards more advanced, specialised and
independent forms of design practice and inquiry.

Here is how Integrated Masters at NID Haryana can progress - from
foundation to advanced practice. Choose how far you want to take your

LET'S SHAPE THE FUTURE OF DESIGN, TOGETHER

Strategic Communication Design

The Master’s in Strategic Communication Design builds on the
foundations of Communication Design to prepare designers to shape
communication strategies, identities and experiences for complex and
evolving contexts. The programme connects research, strategy and visual
thinking across graphic communication, branding and identity, packaging,
information design and development communication. Students explore
how communication can create value for organisations, communities,
markets and public systems through coherent visual and narrative
systems. Through interdisciplinary, research-led and industry-oriented
projects, students develop strategic thinking, storytelling and design
capabilities. The programme prepares graduates for roles in strategic
design, brand communication, information design, development
communication and communication consultancy.

Digital Experience & Interaction Design

The Master’s in Digital Experience & Interaction Design builds on
Communication Design to explore humanising technology and designing
meaningful interactions between people, systems and digital
environments. The programme focuses on simplifying tasks, reducing
cognitive eort and creating experiences that contribute to ease of living
and working.
Students engage with UI/UX, interaction design, service design,
information architecture, systems design, experience design, digital
products and emerging technologies. Through research, prototyping and
user testing, they develop solutions that make complex information,
processes and technologies more accessible and intuitive.
The programme prepares graduates to design human-centred digital
systems, products, services and communication experiences, translating
complex challenges into clear, useful and engaging interactions.

Product Design and Innovation

This integrated master’s programme develops designers who can research
complex human and market needs, create and test responsible
product–service–system propositions, and lead in collaboration with
industry and communities. It integrates undergraduate foundations with
advanced postgraduate study, enabling progress from design exploration
to professional practice, innovation leadership and research-informed
development. A unique blend of design, technology, manufacturing,
market needs, disruptive innovation and entrepreneurship to prepare
designers for systemic transitions.
Graduates will be prepared for careers in product, service, system design;
design research; user experience; innovation strategy; design consultancy;
sustainable and circular design; emerging technology development;
manufacturing; entrepreneurship; and design leadership across industrial,
business, public-service and community sectors.

Furniture & Interior Design

This integrated master’s programme develops designers who can research
complex human, cultural and environmental needs; create and test
responsible interior, spatial and furniture propositions; and lead their
technical, commercial and sustainable implementation in collaboration
with industry, communities and users. It integrates undergraduate
foundations with advanced postgraduate study, enabling students to
progress from design foundations to professional practice, design
leadership and research-informed spatial development.
Graduates will be prepared for careers in interior design, interior
architecture, spatial design, furniture design, exhibition and scenography,
retail and hospitality design, public and community interiors, set and
experience design, furniture and interior-product development, and
design leadership across commercial, cultural, public and community
spaces.

Textile Innovation & Material Design

The Master’s in Textile Innovation & Material Design builds on Textile &
Apparel Design to explore materials as drivers of innovation, culture and
sustainable futures. Students investigate textiles across apparel, interiors,
spatial applications and emerging industries, connecting craft knowledge
with advanced technologies and global practices. The programme
emphasises material experimentation, new material development, smart
and e-textiles, circularity, bio-based materials and responsible production.
Through research, making, prototyping and interdisciplinary collaboration,
students develop solutions for functional, experiential and societal needs.
Working across disciplines and scales, graduates are prepared to lead
material innovation, textile research and progressive product and system
development.

Apparel, Fashion & Lifestyle Design

The Master’s in Apparel, Fashion & Lifestyle Design explores fashion as a
medium of communication, identity, culture and expression, connecting
creativity with technology, materiality and changing lifestyles. Building on
Textile & Apparel Design, the programme addresses functional and
assistive clothing, adaptive apparel, aspirational fashion, accessories and
lifestyle products through research, experimentation and making.
Students investigate materials, construction, sustainability, emerging
technologies and diverse social contexts, developing solutions that
respond to both human needs and industry opportunities. Through
learning by doing, interdisciplinary collaboration, field-based research and
industry projects, students develop creative and responsible design
practices. The programme prepares graduates to shape inclusive and
innovative apparel and lifestyle practices.
